Here we go again-- disappearing without a trace for nearly two months. It's been very stressful on my side. I had my internship in November (which was MORE than successful, one of the best—if not the best—internships I've had so far in that field), then pre-Christmas stress that went on. And as soon as I was done with that, I've had to prepare everything to visit my family for the holidays.
Alas, I was supposed to stay until the 31st, then the 30th, and now I came back literally today. There are a lot of factors that led to an early return; one mainly was the lack of time I could spend with my mother, since she was working most of the time I was over. And she was the reason I even came to visit after all. I was not alone per se, but I didn't want to spend it with people that I do not consider fully family (and yes, I do count my stepbrother, even though he is the child of my mom and my stepfather). This may sound rather harsh, but I've never had a good relationship with that part of the family to begin with, so let's keep it at that, and don't ask too many questions about this. It's a little bit of a sensitive topic for me, thank you!
While I was visiting, however, I rediscovered my love for Palia since they've been playing it, and I was reminded I used to play it too, back when it launched. And so I've spent some nights and afternoons playing this game on the PS5 and Nintendo Switch, respectively.
As for Christmas presents, I didn't get much, and I don't care, either. My mother promised to send me some money as soon as she gets her paycheck; my boyfriend, however, got me Hello Kitty Island Adventure, while I've gifted him another game in return. That's how it is between the both of us. And on the 19th of December, we even celebrated our anniversary. ๐ To think we started as friends, then best friends, and then found love after one year, after what I've been through after my breakup in 2023. What a ride, huh?
I've also gifted myself a graphic tablet, though! An XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro! I want to get back to doing art, and I've been practicing while I could, and I want to practice some more! So excited to return to something I haven't done in a long time. Plus, since this is a screen tablet, it feels very nice drawing on it, although I'm turning more and more into a shrimp, oops. ๐ฆ
Site-wise, I have not done much, unfortunately, due to all the stuff going on-- I've been working on some fanlisting stuff, and this is my main focus at the very moment. I know there's content to be filled, and I will work on that once I've finished some projects beforehand. I want to take my time with all that, since this is just a hobby and not something I'm earning money with.
For the past week, I've quickly changed the design and added some IDV Christmas-themed headers and changed the colors. It was in a rush, and I forgot to adjust EVERYTHING since it's been rather late. I've also meant to write some news while I was in Belgium, but I never got to it.
I hope to get the remaining adjustments done whenever I can. It's rather late at the moment; I've had a long, stressful day with my travel back from Belgium to Germany (which mainly led me to Luxembourg). I want to rest a little and work on it slowly.
